A building is only as good as the team behind it. Here is a checklist for choosing a construction partner who delivers on quality, budget and time.
Start with scope, not square-foot rate
The lowest per-square-foot quote often hides exclusions — compound walls, sump, electrical fittings, or even flooring quality. A trustworthy construction company defines the full scope in writing: design, materials, labour, supervision and handover, so you can compare like for like.
Five questions to ask before signing
Clear answers to these questions matter more than a polished brochure. Ask for a site visit to an ongoing project — workmanship is easiest to judge in person.
- Who supervises the site daily, and how will progress be reported to me?
- Which brands and grades of cement, steel, aggregates and bricks are included?
- How are quality checks done — cube tests, slump tests, stage inspections?
- What is the milestone-based payment schedule, and what triggers each stage?
- What is the realistic timeline, and how are delays handled?
The advantage of in-house materials
AKR's construction division is supported by the group's own material verticals — AKR Blue Metals, AKR Bricks and AKR RMC. That means consistent grading, dependable supply and fewer procurement delays, whether the project is an individual home, a villa community or a commercial complex.
From brief and estimate to mobilisation, build and handover, our focus is simple: durable, functional and cost-effective construction with defined timelines, budgets and quality standards.
